Leandesk has been named winner of the Residential Furniture category at the 2026 CDW Awards, presented by Design Milk at Clerkenwell Design Week.
The award was announced on the evening of 19th May, on the second night of CDW 2026 — making it the second piece of recognition Leandesk has received in the same week, following the 2026 Design Guild Mark awarded by The Furniture Makers’ Company.
About the CDW Awards
The CDW Awards are presented in partnership with Design Milk, the leading modern design media platform known for championing emerging talent, independent studios and ethical design. The programme celebrates the most innovative products at Clerkenwell Design Week and, in 2026, the people shaping the industry around them.
The Residential Furniture category honours furniture that brings together comfort, style and functionality for the home — qualities Leandesk has set out to deliver in a single, deliberately quiet piece of design.

Why Leandesk
Leandesk is a folding sit–stand desk engineered in bamboo, designed for compact homes, shared spaces and any working environment where a permanent desk isn’t an option. It adjusts to any height and angle, locks in place through a simple cord-and-cleat mechanism, and folds to a 50mm depth when work is done — returning the floor to the room.
It’s an approach built around restraint: no motors, no cabling, no permanent footprint. For a category measured on how furniture lives in the home, that quietness was the point.
A note from Henry Swanzy, designer
“To be recognised in the Residential Furniture category, by a panel convened by Clerkenwell Design Week and Design Milk, is genuinely meaningful. Design Milk has championed thoughtful, independent design for years, and the CDW Awards bring a sharp editorial eye to what’s actually moving the industry forward. Leandesk was conceived for the way people increasingly live and work — in smaller spaces, with more fluid routines, and with rising expectations of how the objects around them perform and behave. Seeing the desk acknowledged in that context, alongside such considered work from across the festival, is a real endorsement of the brief. Thanks to the judges, to Clerkenwell Design Week, and to Design Milk for the recognition.” Henry Swanzy, Designer, Leandesk
